Ungeheuer GG (Grand Cru) of Forst is one of Germany’s most significant vineyard sites. Ungeheuer was poured at the opening ceremony of the Suez canal in 1869 and had fans the likes of Goethe or Otto von Bismarck. Sandstone, limestone and basalt in the soil. A very complex wine from this highly recognised single vineyard. We serve this wine cold and decanter it as the oxygen brings out the whole spectrum of flavours of this wine. A facinating nose, that doesn´t not disapoint on the palate. extreme long finish. A wine to savour.

The wine ferments naturally in 500l oak barrels and stays 1,5 years on the lees. A dense, intense and deep Riesling from an extraordinary vineyard.
