It starts with an intense, powerful and dense scent of ripe strawberries and raspberries. Followed by pleasant wooded notes with slightly sweet caramel, herbal spiciness that develops on the nose.
In terms of taste, the Pinot Noir Honigsack convinces with a strong structure and a velvety soft mouth feeling. On the palate is an interesting interplay of red fruit and subtle aromas of vanilla and caramel, as well as soft, pleasant tannins, which balance the wine tastefully.
On the finish, a fine flowery taste develops in connection with a long-lasting fruit.
How the wine is made
Grown on limestone soil with a maximum yield of 55 hl / ha. Healthy grapes are harvested by hand at the end of September. Afterwards mash fermentation in stainless steel tank to intensify the specific fruit. Then 12 months of maturation in second, third and fourth covered barriques in order to reach a balanced wood note.
