After Petri started a few years ago with Sauvignon Blanc Maximilian Petri is steping to the next level with this Fumé Blanc. On the nose it is fresh; ripe, intensive fruit; exotic fruits like pineapple and lychee and hints of green apple appear, on the palate one taste in addition honey and a decent influence of oak that just takes the spikes away.

The wine has powerful structure and is full-bodied with a juicy mouth feeling and creamy-fresh. Followed by lot of yellow fruits; decent notes of oak like roasty vanilla and finaly a round and long finish.

Perfect with powerful meat like beef, duck or lamb; some creamy, powerful dishes.

Harvested at middle of September of healthy Sauvignon Blanc grapes, which are growing up on a cooler limestone site around Herxheim am Berg; slowly fermentation in new 600 litre. casks; aging for 9 months in cask, made from palatinate oak; bottling in July 2020.
