Not every year this wine is produced. Only if the cousins find the harvest worthy of producing the pinot times some of the best barrels are separated from both wineries and a Pinot Times is created. This wine is living proof that when taken good care German Pinots are right up there with their brothers in Burgundy.
How the wine is madeUnder the label Pinot Times the cousins Phillip Kiefer and Dominic Stern create this high quality Pinot Noir from their best plots. The terroir is predominantly lime marl and loess soil. The wine stayed on the lees for a long time which made him more complex. On the nose you find wonderful aromas of pineapple, pear, apple banana hazelnuts, vanilla, brioche and toast. On the palate you taste a juicy fresh fruit, paired with a slight mineral tone and a wooden note. Very long, afterwards. For us one of the best Pinot Noirs we know in Germany.
