(Satzriedgasse 1, 7000 Eisenstadt-Kleinhöflein)

The winery is situated in the wine growing area ``Burgenland``. The location has many advantages. The vineyards are protected from harsh winds by the nearby ‘Leithagebirge’ and enjoy a high amount of sunshine due to the pannonian climate. In addition, the composition of the local soil makes the cultivation of many different grape varieties possible.
The Kaiser family has been producing top quality wines for four generations. The historic vaulted cellar (dates back to 1492 and once belonged to Prince Esterházy) has recently been lovingly restored by Rudolf and Judith. It is a reflection of their family’s long history. The winery and vineyards cover an area of 28 hectares. Around 80% of the vineyards are planted with rustic red grape varieties, such as Blaufränkisch and Burgundian varieties. The entire winemaking process is carried out in a traditional vaulted cellar, which was built in the 15thcentury and has recently been lovingly restored and equipped with modern winemaking technology. The original vaults have been preserved and create a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere for both wine and taster. Recent developments in winemaking methods and equipment have made winemaking a gentler and more controlled process. Their commitment to quality, flair for winemaking and passion is the perfect recipe for high quality white and red wines that meet organic standards. It is their respect for traditional methods, combined with the use of modern winemaking technology, which enable them to produce wines which show expressiveness, finesse and elegance.
The Kaiser family today are the 4th generation which started in 1886. Each generation enthusiastic and wine crazy. In 1938 Stefan Kaiser even traveled to Japan, cultivating vines and making wine in Tajimi, a small town close to Nagoya. Very soon his wines were drunk at the Palace by the Tenno, which funnily enough translates in German to Kaiser, the family name. His son Rudolf took over in 1977 and since then the small 5 ha Farm has grown into 28 ha, now run by Rudolf's son Kurt. He is in charge of the vines and the cellar that have been changed to fully biological production since the beginning of the millennium.
